Rumus Penggabungan Kalimat Elliptical Construction Dalam Bahasa Inggris With Not Either

Berikut ini tata cara menggabungkan 2 (dua) kalimat negative yang dalam penggabungannya menggunakan rumus elliptical construction berupa “and subject + auxiliary verb + not + either” dalam bahasa inggris.

Terkadang kita dalam berbicara ingin mengungkapkan 2 (dua) kalimat yang mempunyai arti dan tata bahasa yang sama namun dalam bentuk sebuah kalimat yang mempunyai arti sama seperti sebelumnya. Nah kawan jangan kuatir berikut ini adalah beberapa hal yang perlu dan harus kalian perhatikan agar dalam pembuatan dan pengucapannya tidak mengurangi atau merubah arti yang ingin diungkapkan.

1. Pada dasarnya kalian diminta untuk membuat atau berhadapan dengan 2 (dua) kalimat negative yang kemungkinan tersusun atau berbentuk dengan jenis tense yang berbeda,. Hal tersebut bertujuan ada maksud dari setiap tense yang digunakan.

Perhatikan beberapa jenis kalimat negative berdasarkan berbagai macam tense:

a. The simple present tense

verbal           : Subject + do/does + not + verb 1
Nominal       : subject + is/am/are + noun/adverb/adjective

b. The present future tense

verbal           : Subject + will/shall + not + verb 1
Nominal       : subject + will/shall + not + be + noun/adverb/adjective

c. The present continuous tense

verbal           : Subject + is/am/are + not + verb ing
Nominal       : subject + is/am/are + not + noun/adverb/adjective

d. the simple past tense

verbal           : Subject + did+ not + verb 1
Nominal       : subject + was/were + not + noun/adverb/adjective

e. The past future tense

verbal           : Subject + would/should + not + verb 1

Nominal       : subject + woukld/should + be +noun/adverb/adjective

f. The past continuous tense

verbal           : Subject + was/were + not + verb ing
Nominal       : subject + was/were +not + noun/adverb/adjective

h. the present perfect tense

verbal           : Subject + has/have + not + past participle
Nominal       : subject + has/have + not + been + noun/adverb/adjective

i. The present perfect continuous tense

verbal           : Subject + has/have + not + been + verb ing
Nominal       : subject + has/have + not + been + noun/adverb/adjective

2. Dalam pembuatan sebuah kalimat negative kalian mempunyai atau disodorkan dengan rumus dasar berupa “subject + auxiliary verb + not + verb 1 + object”. Untuk auxiliary verbnya bergantung pad jenis tense yang sedang digunakan.

a. The simple present tense

verbal           : do/does + not
Nominal       : is/am/are + not

b. The present future tense

verbal           : will/shall + not
Nominal       : will/shall + not + be

c. The present continuous tense

verbal           : is/am/are + not
Nominal       : is/am/are + not

d. the simple past tense

verbal           : did+ not
Nominal       : was/were + not

e. The past future tense

verbal           : would/should + not
Nominal       : would/should + be

f. The past continuous tense

verbal           : was/were + not
Nominal       : was/were +not

g. the present perfect tense

verbal           : has/have + not
Nominal       : has/have + not + been

h. The present perfect continuous tense

verbal           : has/have + not + been
Nominal       : has/have + not + been

Untuk kalimat pertama kalian hanya menulis apa adanya saja, yang perlu dirubah adalah kalimat keduanya

Contoh kalimatnya:

  • My father does not dig the holes. Uncle does not dig the hole
    Menjadi
  • My father does not dig the holes and uncle does not either
  • Miranda will not go. I will not go
    Menjadi
  • Miranda will not go and I will not either

Setelah membuat atau menemui kedua kalimat negative tersebut, kalian harus menggunakan rumus “and subject + auxiliary verb + not + either”. Apabila telah menggunakan rumus tersebut kalian tidak perlu menuliskan lagi kata kerja yang menajdi sebuah perkerjaan yang dilakukan oleh si subjek kedua.

Contoh kalimatnya:

  • Kinara did not mop the floor. Ginna did not mop the floor
    Menjadi
  • Kinara did not mop the floor and Ginna did not either
  • Herman is not here. Wendy is not here
    Menjadi
  • Herman is not here and Wendy is not either
